Edward Szewczyk is an Australian Architect born in Poland. He obtained a Masters Degree in Architecture at the Silesian Institute of Technology in Poland. As part of his education he organized and completed a research tour to study Western-European architecture and visited numerous architects’ offices and schools of architecture: AA in London, Delft University in Holland, University of Copenhagen, Louvain La Neuve in Belgium, Malmö University in Sweden and participated in a student exchange with Sheffield University.

Prior to migrating to Australia in 1982, he practiced architecture in Poland and Switzerland.

He joined the Royal Australian Institute of Architects in 1992 and in 2004 he became a Founding Member of Australian Architecture Association.

In 1993 he established Edward Szewczyk and Associates Architects in Sydney. It is a small practice focused on high quality design and developing a language of interpretation of Australian landscape and small scale, high quality urban living. The projects range from objects and furniture to houses and commercial and industrial projects.
